Alia LeMmon
Student of the Fine Arts, Snow College, Ephraim, UT
b. 2002, Pleasant Grove, Utah
Alia LeMmon was born into a creative family and was raised with the mind set of try, learn, experience, and grow. She grew up as an eclectic artist who has always enjoyed learning new art forms to express ideas and themes. Her first love of art began with graphic novels, comic books, and web-comic art. She inherited a deep passion for stories and storytelling from her mother. Which is why any artistic field or style that leans into storytelling never fails to captivate her attention.
Alia has been a student of the fine arts for the last four years and an aspiring artist for the last ten. She enjoys working with graphite and powdered graphite for drawing portraits. She distorts the forms putting her emotions and experiences into the pieces. She uses her unprocessed emotions, traumatic experiences, and observations of her own life as an inspiration for her art. This has helped her come to terms with where she is in life and better understand herself. She has found great enjoyment and peace by taking abstract emotions and creating a visual representation for others to enjoy and experience. She finds satisfaction in critical thinking and learning new ways to improve her current skills and techniques, which has allowed her to push to the limits of her own artistic abilities.
Alia has shown her work in regional galleries, and hopes to one day run her own animation studio. One of her goals is to ensure those who see her art have a unique experience and feel greater emotions. She tries to carry this goal throughout all of her art mediums, graphite, sculpture, digital media, painting, metal drawings, animation, and even within her comics. In the future she wants to help others expand, improve, and express their art in a more meaningful way.
